Salesforce–NetSuite SuiteBilling Integration

Snappy is a leading corporate gifting platform that enables companies to delight employees, customers, and partners through personalized, trackable gift experiences. Operating across multiple markets and currencies, Snappy’s rapid expansion required seamless coordination between its Salesforce CRM and NetSuite ERP environments to support enterprise-scale subscription billing, renewals, and revenue recognition.

The company’s Finance and Sales teams sought a single, automated workflow from quote to cash, leveraging NetSuite SuiteBilling for subscription management while retaining Salesforce as the system of record for all sales activity.

Challenges

  • Siloed lead-to-cash across Salesforce and NetSuite
  • Manual billing and subscription setup delays and errors
  • Limited fulfillment & financial visibility for Sales
  • Manual hand-offs causing delays and errors
  • Difficult subscription lifecycle management
  • Disjointed data between Salesforce and NetSuite
  • Limited reporting/forecasting for stakeholders

Our Solution

Phase 1: Discovery & Design

Nova Module facilitated workshops with Snappy’s Sales Operations, Finance, and IT teams to define the end-to-end quote-to-cash process. Deliverables included Business Process Workflow Diagrams (from Opportunity → Subscription → Invoice → Revenue Recognition), Integration Requirements Document (IRD), and data mapping for Accounts, Opportunities, Products, and Billing Schedules.

Phase 2: Salesforce–NetSuite Integration via Celigo

Account & Contact Sync
Automated two-way sync between Salesforce Accounts and NetSuite Customers.
Opportunity to Subscription
When an Opportunity was marked “Closed-Won” in Salesforce, a Subscription record was created in NetSuite with line-level detail, term, price, and effective dates.
Opportunity to Invoice
When an Opportunity was marked “Closed-Won” in Salesforce, and the Opportunity Line Item was not marked recurring, an Invoice was created in NetSuite with line-level detail.

Key Outcomes

  • Automated lead-to-cash- fewer manual touchpoints

  • Real-time fulfillment & financial visibility for Sales

  • Accurate subscription setup – lean, reliable records
